About Us The Connecting Hand LTD. was established in 1989. Phyllis Greenstein a resident of Oceanside, New York, guides families through the complicated maze of medicaid, medicare, nursing home placements and long term care insurance. Phyllis has been active as a community leader in a wide variety of organizations and currently serves as the chair of the advisory board for the Long Island Alzheimers Foundation. She is also past president of The Gerontological Professionals of Long Island, former treasurer of the Senior Umbrella Network and an active member of the National Association of Private Geriatric Care Managers. She often lectures at the Nassau County Bar Association for members of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. Phyllis became committed to the field of geriatrics after caring for her elderly parents while raising two small children.
